Key highlights
- Base is $30 and Pro is $60 per location per month, listed as billed annually
- There's no volume discount on self-serve plans, so ten locations cost ten times one
- Removing a client doesn't automatically lower the location limit you pay for
- You don't need a Semrush SEO subscription to use Semrush Local
Semrush Local's pricing looks simple: $30 or $60 per location. The simplicity is the catch. There's no volume discount on the self-serve plans, so the bill grows by the same amount with every client you add.
Here's what it actually costs at different client counts, what each plan includes, and the details worth checking before you sign up. Prices are from Semrush's own pricing page in October 2026.
The quick version
- Two self-serve plans: Base at $30 and Pro at $60, per location, per month
- Both are listed as billed annually
- A Business plan with custom pricing for larger accounts
- You don't need a Semrush SEO subscription to use it
- Extra users are $20 a month each
What each plan includes
Base is built around automation:
- Google Business Profile management with an AI agent
- AI-generated posts that publish for you
- Automatic review replies
- Automated photo posting
- Map rank tracking, with 375 credits
Pro adds the tools most consultants end up wanting:
- Everything in Base
- Listing management across directories
- Review management and review generation
- Advanced GBP management
- Map rank tracking, with 1,225 credits
Business has custom pricing, custom limits, and priority support. It's aimed at larger multi-location brands.
What it costs at your client count
Per month, billed annually:
| Locations | Base | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $30 | $60 |
| 3 | $90 | $180 |
| 5 | $150 | $300 |
| 10 | $300 | $600 |
| 20 | $600 | $1,200 |
Every number is the per-location price times the number of locations. That's the whole model. Your tenth client costs exactly as much as your first.
Because it's billed annually, the yearly figure is what you're committing to. Ten locations on Base works out to $3,600 for the year.
Four things to check before you sign up
Monthly billing. The pricing page shows prices billed annually. There's a monthly option on the page, but check the actual monthly price before you assume it's the same $30.
Removing a client. Semrush's help docs note that removing a location doesn't remove the location limit you're paying for. If clients come and go during the year, find out how to lower your location count before you need to.
Canceling. If you cancel, Semrush's help docs say your listings stay in the directories but are no longer managed. They go back to each directory's normal updates.
Rank tracking credits. Map rank checks use credits. Grid-style checks across a whole area use more of them than a single check, so work out how often you'd scan each client before assuming the allowance will last the month.
Base or Pro?
Pick by what your clients pay you for.
- Base if you mainly want posts and review replies handled, and directory listings aren't part of your service.
- Pro if you manage listings across directories, or you run review requests for clients.
One caution on Base's automatic review replies: if any of your clients are dental or medical practices, don't let replies post without a person reading them first. We explained why in how to respond to Google reviews for dental practices.
How it compares
BrightLocal uses location brackets instead, so the cost per location falls as you add clients. At one location the two are about the same. At ten, BrightLocal's Grow plan is $131 a month against $300 for Semrush Local Base. See BrightLocal pricing for every bracket, or the full BrightLocal vs Semrush Local comparison.
Whitespark sells separate products rather than one plan. It's cheaper if you mainly need rank tracking and citations, but it doesn't offer automated posting or review replies. See Whitespark vs Semrush Local.
Where Surfa fits
Surfa is built for the same recurring work Semrush Local's Base plan automates: review replies, GBP posts, and rank tracking across your clients, plus client-ready reports, all from one dashboard. The difference is that AI review replies are drafted in each client's voice and you approve them before they post.
Pricing is monthly with no contract. Starter is $29 for one location, Growth is $99 for three, and Pro is $249 for ten, with extra locations at $20 a month each. Growth and Pro include unlimited AI replies. See Surfa pricing for the full details.
